Cecropia bees are a Greek, dark black bee, and belong to the same family as Carnica. The brood starts early spring and develops explosively large societies, builds candles in between the waxworks and is a relatively aggressive breed as well as a good honey producer.

Cecropia Bee Colonies
In our online store vasilises.gr you can buy 10 frame beehives from pure breeding Cecropia lines that have proven to be particularly gentle, vital and high yielding. Selling bees in our shop is very simple: Choose the desired sub-species, the desired quantity – then we prepare the delivery in our own hives or you simply send us your own and we prepare them for you. Ten hives contain respectively ten frames, of which six to eight frames are stocked with brood and the rest with honey.
For all our bees and their queens we provide a full guarantee of success and avoidance of any disease for 15 days. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, simply return them for a replacement. Losses due to improper care are of course not covered.
Bee shipping to EU and other non-EU countries is only possible for larger quantities and after individual consultation. Please contact us if you plan to order larger quantities of bees to EUand a non-EU country.
